(i) The Ruck inline tube fan stats ('ERK' also known as 'RK') taken from the manufacturers data & converted to dB(A) @ 3m. The higher output option (S) is assumed if available for the sizes specified.

(ii) The HVK systemair stats, (also known as RVK) are taken from systemair's data for the RVK fans. The higher output option (L) is assumed if available for the sizes specified.

(iii) The Mini box acoustic & super silent stats are taken from the Italian manufacturers data. (Dynair) and once again converted to dB(A) @ 3m.

(iv) The UPA data is taken from Chaysols specifications and converted to dB(A) @ 3m for comparative purposes.

(v) The decibels ratings stated are taken from the 'Breakout noise', ie the noise emitted from the fan unit itself, not the inlet or outlet as these are attenuated by the use of ducting. This is the usual measure of fan noise.

(vi) The Super Silent & UPA do not come in 150mm size, but instead use the european measure of 160mm. We have listed them as 150mm so will need 2 reducers (160mm-150mm) to connect to 150mm ducting.

(vii) Although some of the acoustics go above 315mm, we have only listed to 315mm for comparative purposes.
