Designed For Efficiency
Impellers are adjustable pitch aerofoil with blades made from high quality GRP. Combined with increased blade chord and twist, we have achieved 7% higher efficiency, reducing overall energy consumption. Increased blade root reduces stress levels making our range of impellers ideal for arduous fan applications.
Specially treated against corrosion, powder coated with polyester epoxy paint in pastel beige (RAL 7032).
A range of transformer voltage controllers and inverters are available for AC units. IE5 EC fans can be directly connected via DC voltage 2 to 10V, DC current 4 to 20mA, Frequency 10 to 95% or a potentiometer. Both AC with Inverter and EC provide significant cost-savings through lower energy consumption.
Each SCP has a 12 month warranty.
The all metal fan casing and guard provide a long lasting and robust construction. The units have been constructed from mild steel and suitably treated to ensure full corrosion protection. The guard shall be bright zinc plated. Fan plates and motors shall have a powder coated polyester epoxy paint finish in pastel beige (RAL 7032).
AC motors possess greased for life ball bearings with fixed speed operating temperatures of between -20°C and +70°C and speed controlled operating temperatures of -20°C and +50°C. High efficiency EC motors comply with the efficiency level IE5 for operating temperatures up to +60°C EC. Electrical connection to the motor shall be provided by an IP55 terminal box fitted to a 550mm long flying lead.
Adjustable pitch increased twist aerofoil impellers are provided with blades made from high quality GRP. Impellers are factory set at an angle to provide maximum performance. The hubs are manufactured from die cast aluminium alloy (LM24). Assembled impellers are to be dynamically balanced to ISO 14694 Grade G6.3.
Speed control shall be via variable Electronic, stepped Transformer or Eltadrive VSD, dependant on model. Eltadrive VSD IP20 or Switched IP66 shall provide precise motor control and energy savings. The Eltadrive range of inverters have been designed encompassing the latest technology and combining robustness with reliability. Using an inverter to control fans via sensors to reduce fan speed can provide significant cost-savings through lower energy consumption.
Units are to be designed and manufactured with procedures as defined in BS EN ISO 9001. All Compact SCP units are to be tested to ISO 5801 (airside performance) and BS 848 Part 2 (sound performance).
