The DVEX models have impellers with backward-curved blades and external rotor motors. The casing is made from aluminium and the base frame from galvanised steel, with a copper inlet cone.
The DV-EX fans complies with the ATEX regulation. The fans could be used for zone 1 and zone 2; Field of application for gases of groups IIA, IIB and also hydrogen, temperature class T1, T2 and T3. To protect the motor from overheating these fans have integral thermistors (PTC) with external leads which must be connected to the U-EK230E motor protection relay.
